MindBodyHuman Pty Ltd ("MindBodyHuman", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information when you use our mobile application and related services (the "App").

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

Information you provide directly:

• Account information: name, email address
• Health information: symptoms, conditions (e.g. PCOS, endometriosis, adenomyosis), menstrual cycle data, sleep patterns, stress levels, dietary habits, and lifestyle information shared during onboarding and daily check-ins
• Journal entries and self-reported mood, energy, cravings, and skin data
• Survey and questionnaire responses (e.g. mPCOSQ)

Information collected automatically:

• Device information: device type, operating system, app version
• Usage data: features used, habits completed, app interactions
• Health data from Apple HealthKit (with your explicit permission): sleep duration, step count, and other activity data. We only read data you authorise — we do not write data to HealthKit or access data beyond what you consent to.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide personalised habit plans and health insights based on your symptoms and daily patterns
• Track your progress and adapt your plan over time
• Generate personalised explanations for why habits are recommended for your body
• Communicate with you about your account, the pilot program, or product updates
• Improve and develop the App based on usage patterns and feedback
• Conduct anonymised and aggregated analysis to improve our services and for research purposes

3. AI and Data Processing

MindBodyHuman uses artificial intelligence (powered by Google's Gemma 4) to process your health information during onboarding and to generate personalised habit recommendations and insights. Your health data is processed through Google's AI infrastructure. We do not sell your data to any third party.

4. How We Store and Protect Your Information

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure, which provides encryption in transit and at rest. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: We use third-party services (Google Firebase, Anthropic Claude API) to operate the App. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies.
• Anonymised and aggregated data: We may share anonymised, de-identified, or aggregated data for research, analysis, or reporting purposes. This data cannot be used to identify you.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid legal process.
• With your consent: We may share information with third parties if you explicitly consent to it.

6. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and applicable privacy laws, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Withdraw consent for data processing at any time
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format

7. Apple HealthKit

If you choose to connect Apple HealthKit, we access only the data categories you explicitly authorise (such as sleep and step data). We use this data solely to personalise your habit plan and insights within the App. We do not share HealthKit data with third parties, use it for advertising, or store it outside of what is necessary to provide the App's services. This is in accordance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 16, please contact us immediately.

10. Pilot Program Participants

If you are participating in a MindBodyHuman pilot program, we may collect additional data through pre- and post-program questionnaires (such as the mPCOSQ). This data is used to evaluate the effectiveness of the program and may be included in anonymised, aggregated reporting. By participating in the pilot, you consent to this additional data collection and its use for program evaluation.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the App or on our website and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Medical Disclaimer

MindBodyHuman is a wellness and lifestyle application. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The information and recommendations provided by the App are for general wellness and educational purposes only. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.
